2011 Squad Sessions

Dear all,

Sunday 30 January is the first squad session for 2011. It is being held at Harlington, from 10-2 at a cost of £10 per gymnast. This session is open to Gala gymnasts of National C and above.

I intend to run DMT as well as TRA, coaches/gymnasts permitting! Used coaches will be given a £10 contribution for attending the session and this will be paid by cheque in the post. In order for these session to run I do need the assistance of coaches, so please let me know the gymnasts and coaches that would like to be considered for this session by Saturday 18 December on return email, please state the gymnasts full name and if they would like to particiapte in DMT/TRA or both. I will then confirm gymnasts and coaches by Monday 20 December.

Sunday 22 May 10am till 2pm, this session is for Gala gymnasts
Sunday 19 June 10am till 2pm, squad match trial (compulsory for those wanting to be considered)
Sunday 4 September 10am till 2pm, squad match preparation

Dear all,

I can now confirm the dates, venues and type of squad sessions for 2011. Please note that the English Championships will be the last squad activity for 2010, I have had to cancel the one meant for December 2010.

I am also very excited to confirm that we will be running a Squad Match in October 2011 against the West Midlands. London will be hosting this event at Harlington and we will be running two events, a Regional and Elite squad match for TRI, TRS & DMT. This will be a self funded event.

The sessions for 2011 will all be hosted at Harlington and will take place on:
Sunday 30 January 10am till 2pm, this session is for Gala gymnasts
Sunday 20 February 10am till 2pm, this session is for Regional gymnasts
Sunday 3 April 10am till 2pm, this session is for Gala gymnasts
Sunday 19 June 10am till 2pm, this session is meant for coaches, though if their isn't a big enough interest it will run as a Regional squad
Sunday 4 September 10am till 2pm, squad match preparation
Sunday 2 October - Squad Match against the West Midlands at Harlington

At some sessions guest coaches will be invited to host, a conditioning teacher and physiotherapist will also be made available on various occasions.

In order for these sessions to be carried out, I do need coaches at various levels to put themselves forwards. Travel expenses will be paid to coaches at 25p per mile. However if coaches car share, only the driver can claim. If coaches get a lift from gymnasts then no claim can be paid.
