Those nominating themselves for synchro should name a partner if they have one. This can be done en masse by the club manager. All performers who nominate themselves must attend the trial event and the pre-match training session as below. This will be a self funded event. All participants must have London leotard, track suit and polo shirt. The entry fee for the event will be £5 per person per discipline entered. Nominees are encouraged to attend London Squad sessions where possible.
Trials
There will be one compulsory trial session on Sunday 19th June 2011 at Harlington Sports Centre. There will be a compulsory pre-match training session on Sunday 4th September 2011 at Harlington Sports Centre. There will be no cost for the trial but the training session will cost a reduced rate of £5 per head.
Selection
TRA: The 2 round score from the trial event will be used for selection. Performers may also submit their 2 highest scores over the first 2 rounds from any 2011 competition of the required level (Elite must be from galas, Development must be from regional grades). Performers must state which event these scores have come from. Each performer’s top 2 scores will be used to determine the first 6 places on each team, the other two places will be open to wild cards at the discretion of the Squad Manager.
DMT: The score from 2 passes at the trial event will be used for selection. Performers may also submit their 2 highest scores over 2 passes (passes must both be from either the 1st round or 2nd round) from any 2011 competition of the required level (Elite must be from galas, Development must be from regional grades). As Development performers will only have one opportunity to compete within the region, scores from the London DMT competition of 7th November 2010 will also be offered. Performers must state which event these scores have come from. Each performer’s top 2 scores will be used to determine the first 6 places on each team, the other two places will be open to wild cards at the discretion of the Squad Manager.
TRS: The 2 round score from the trial event will be used for selection. Any Elite pair who have competed at gala events may submit their top two scores over the first 2 rounds of competition from these events. Any Development pair may submit their top two scores over the first round of competition from the London Synchro events on 7th November 2010 and the Summer Cup event of 14th May 2011. Each performer’s top 2 scores will be used to determine the first 3 pairs on each team, the other one pair will be open to wild cards at the discretion of the Squad Manager. If there are insufficient nominations for synchro, those selected for the TRA team will be asked to form pairs.
The team will be announced on or before 3rd July 2011.
Officials
There will be 2 panels running (1 x TRA, 1 x DMT) therefore we will need to supply several qualified judges plus a few unqualified officials. County level or above will be required for the Elite TRA and TRS although any Club Judges wishing to officiate may be able to judge the Development TRA & TRS.
