County Judge (DMT)

Saturday 17th December 2011, 10.00am – 4.30pm

Closing Date: Friday 9th December 2011.
Applicants will be accepted strictly in the order that replies are received.
This qualification is aimed at judges with experience of Form and Difficulty judging in Trampoline and with a basic knowledge of DMT. Those qualified will be able to officiate at DMT competitions as a form judge or difficulty judge up to and including National C.

Eligibility: : Candidates must be a minimum age of 17 years on the first day of the course and already hold the County Judge Award (Trampoline).

Syllabus: Knowledge of BG (FIG) code of Points (DMT). Recording of individual and team competitions. Form judging up to 3.5 DD. Difficulty judging to include any skill up to and including National Grade 2 (maximum of single, twisting somersaults).

Exam: Theory Paper: 10 questions covering the syllabus. Duration 1 hour. Pass mark 70%.
Practical: 1. Form judge 10 passes. Pass mark 70%.
2. Difficulty judge 8 passes using FIG numeric system. Pass mark 70%.

Venue: The Lodge, 217 Charlton Road, Charlton Village, Shepperton, Middlesex TW17 0SG.

Cost: 2 separate cheques as below:
Course fee: TRAMPOLINE COURSES - £35.00 for applicants attached to a London region club, £40 for all other applicants (payable to London Trampolining).

DMT COURSES - £17.50 for applicants attached to a London region club, £20 for all other applicants (payable to London Trampolining).

Exam fee: TRAMPOLINE & DMT COURSES - £15.00 (payable to British Gymnastics).
No refunds after the closing date.

Details are sent out via email therefore please quote an email address that is checked on a regular basis.

PLEASE DO NOT SEND APPLICATION BY RECORDED DELIVERY AS THIS WILL INVOLVE ME IN EXTRA WORK IF I AM NOT HOME WHEN THE POST ARRIVES – no guarantee can be made to collect items sent in this way.

It is not a requirement for a candidate to have British Gymnastics membership or a CRB in place to attend a course but anyone intending to use the award (ie. judge at a competition) is then classed as being in a regulated activity and therefore required to have BG membership and a BG CRB. If you are a member of British Gymnastics, please quote your membership number on your application.
